Results
A natural unchanged “look” is the goal. Occasionally, it takes 6 months for the final result to become evident.
Indications
excess skin and peri ocular fat pocket herniation.
Complications
Excess skin removal may result in ectropion. Inadequate skin or fat removal could result in poor outcome.
Recovery
Postoperative swelling is more common in the upper lids while bruising is worse in the lower lid. Complete recovery can take up to 6 months.
Anesthesia
Local anesthesia with or without sedation.

- Will there be any pain?
- What are the pre-operative precautions?
- Is smoking before surgery harmful?
Bruising is best prevented using cold compressors. Herbal preparation and anti-inflammatory creams are helpful too.
This procedure is extremely non painful.
One should be normotensive and not taking any medication that thins the blood such as anti-inflammatory meds.
Usually, smoking before any procedure slows the healing process. Fortunately, it has minimal effect here.
